WHAT IS IT? Plantar Fasciitis is one of the most common heel complaints. The plantar fascia is a thick, weblike connective tissue that connects your heel to the front of your foot. It acts as a shock absorber and supports the arch of your foot, helping you walk. The Plantar Fascia can become inflammed, damaged and/or micro tears to the planter fascia ligament can occur, causing this pain and stiffness at the bottom of your foot or heel.
